New life for laptops and MS Surfaces

On 29 June 2022, the Swiss Finance & Property Group (SFP Group) hosted a very special guest. Frank Geisler, president of Labdoo*, took receipt of around 60 MS Surfaces and laptops worth tens of thousands of Swiss francs that were being donated to his organisation. Professionals worked on preparing the hardware for its new life.

Soon, schoolchildren around the world will be able to use these laptops and MS Surfaces for their education and training. The donation will not just benefit schools, but also children and young people in orphanages and refugee centres. For this purpose, the laptops are already being packaged for distribution to the destination countries.

Mr Geisler reported that hundreds of institutions around the world are currently eagerly awaiting a laptop or MS Surface. Philippe Rothlin, Head Shared Services & Operations at the SFP Group, said "We decided to make this donation as part of the transformation of our IT infrastructure. I am very proud and also moved that the SFP Group is able to make a lasting contribution to society by giving children access to the digital world with these high-quality devices." Labdoo has saved a total of 574 tonnes of CO2 since its creation.
